KULTURA SPLASH WAVE EXPERIENCE

Have you ever seen the coolest wave pool in the North? If not yet, come join me as we experience the one of a kind place nestled at the foot of the mountain, the KULTURA SPLASH WAVE.

Isn't it exciting to have an agency anniversary in a world class wave pool that can electronically produce various types of waves and be thrilled on heart-pounding giant slides? ABSOLUTELY, YES!

PSA (my previous employer, this is a late post hehe!) decided to hold our 2nd Anniversary at the hottest water recreation of the North, the Kultura Splash Wave. It is located in Km. 21, Marcos Highway, Barangay Cares, Pugo, La Union.

We booked the Juliet Hotel Legacy for ladies and the Deluxe and Superior Rooms for men for our 3 nights/2days stay. The place looks sophisticated and stylish.

Our food was catered with their standard package. It is a choice of three (3) main course, one (1) salad/veggies/noodles, one (1) desert, steamed rice and free flowing iced tea.

One of our outdoor activity:

Park amenities are the best part of staying in this place. They have 1, 000 square meters wave pool (what a huge one!), two (2) dolphin pools, four (4) giant slides with drop zone (this was the scariest yet most thrilling) and kiddie pool with water factory and slides.

They also have rent-able cottages and bamboo huts also convenient stores. Operation hours for day swimming is from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and night swimming is from 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.

If you are looking for more adventures they also offer aerial zip line, wall climbing and skywalker. They have individual pricing as well as package.

To sum it up, staying at Kultura Splash wave gave me the refreshment I need. Our stay was awesome because of the accommodating, courteous and always smiling attendants. I was able to enjoy all the amenities. I would definitely go back to this place.

Today's review is a continuation of the sun expert products I used during our office' team enhancement activity at Hundred Islands, Alaminos City, Pangasinan. I used three products. These are the Belo Sun Expert Transparent Mist SPF50, Belo Sun Expert Face Cover SPF 40 and PA+++, and Belo Sun Expert Ater Sun Gel.

USAGE:

Apply and massage a generous amount on face or body immediately after sun exposure. Re-apply as needed.

This product is new to me. I thought that sunblock would be enough to protect my skin under the scorching heat of summer but I found out that this is only one thing, soothing and relieving skin after exposure is another.

One of the trusted brands for aesthetics cum skin care here in the Philippines released the new trend sun after gel.

It comes in Belo's usual yellow tube container. The cream is a not so runny liquid, non-sticky and quick-absorbent. It has a subtle smell.

I must say that this after sun gel gives me the assurance that with all the activities under the sun I can still be protected from sunburn, prickly heat, rashes, skin damage, melasma and such.

With the recent experience, this gel soothes and refreshes the skin. It has a cooling effect which makes you feel as if you weren't under the sun moment ago. It relaxes stressed and damaged skin caused by UV rays. It is also safe for being paraben free, hypoallergenic and derma tested.

The product label is delightful enough to assure that you are going to have a fun summer.
It can also be a primer which it excites me more. Here is the back detail:

For the 3-hour exposure to sun rays, I used enough to protect my skin and I re-apply whenever my face becomes prickly and I can say that a little amount goes a long way. It is lightweight but not quick absorbent, you have to massage until fully absorbed.

After 3 hours, you will feel that your skin becomes oilier than usual and for me, that's the downside. There is also a stingy feeling when you wash your face with fresh water.

As for the primer, I tried it once and I am not satisfied and won't do it again. I paired it with my usual matte foundation and it degrades the mattifying effect. I can say that it is better to use as a moisturizer for no make-up moment rather than a primer.

Anyway, I am still happy with the protection it gave during our summer getaway. It gives me a burn-free and moisturized face.

This escapade is never fun and complete with the last product I use. So, I will again make a separate blog post for my experience on Belo Sun Expert Ater Sun Gel.

If the seasons were people here in the Philippines, Rainy would be the glamour and fashion or OOTD fun. But, summer? Summer is an adventure or escapade fun. Most of us love summer. People love to have leisure and this season is perfect for a family gathering at the beach.

Filipinos' who love summer usually go to the beach and call it "Vitamin Sea" and as the season passes lot's of Filipinos in all ages still go beaching and call it "Huling Hirit sa Tag-Init" and one of them is yours truly.

TEXTURE AND EASE OF USE:

Belo sun expert mist comes in a sticky transparent liquid. It is easy to blend on the skin and quick absorbent.

MY EXPERIENCE:

This mist is an on-the-go product and travel-friendly. It doesn't spill even turned up-side-down. It has a readable label plus instruction. The mist has the cooling effect when applied and dries quickly also it makes the skin shiny when hit by the sun rays. The liquid is sticky but can't be felt after application. It smells subtle and fresh. It is paraben-free and hypoallergenic so I am not afraid to use. It is also certified water resistant and won't give you salty and itchy feeling. I love this product but it is kind of expensive.

MY ESSENTIAL OILS FOR RAINY SEASON

The Philippines is a tropical part of the world and with that, we experience lots of rainfall every year. In this season, everyone should be pro-active in health concerns to avoid common colds, cough, and nasal congestion. My pro-active strategy to prevent such is thru essential oils.

What is essential oil?

As per Essential Oil Haven, essential oils are the highly concentrated version of the natural oils in plants.

Getting essential oils from plants is done with a process called distillation, most commonly distillation by steam or water, where many parts of the plants are being used, including the plant roots, leaves, stems, flowers, or bark.

After distillation, the outcome is a highly concentrated portion of essential oil, which will have the characteristic fragrance and properties of the plant from which it was extracted, and contain the true essence of the plant it came from. This includes the smell, but also the plant’s healing properties and other plant characteristics.

You can see how this highly potent extract of a plant or herb can be extremely useful for many purposes.

And now, here are the essential oils I am using:

I love how it lathers enormously. It makes a foamy and fluffy lather that easily washed-off. The fragrance is too indulging but doesn't stay after the bath, It is lightweight and does not dry out skin. Elegantly-classy but budget-friendly body wash.

HOW EFFECTIVE IS COLD CREAM CLEANSER? IS IT WORTH TRYING??

MY THOUGHTS:

I've been using this for weeks now. It has a subtle scent. It takes away all the makeup in one to two swipes. I am using two different processes because you can either wash it off or just leave it as is. For this, I usually do the second process until I noticed that it clogs my pores and feels heavy so I shifted to the wash it off process.

I have oily skin and this does not add oiliness rather it hydrates and moisturizes my skin making it soft.

Pond's cold cream in a single swipe. (I didn't use foundation) It took away specks of dirt from my face after a whole day activity. (Sorry for the gross image)

Is it worth trying? Yes, and I love its efficacy.
